Paul was encouraged by the report of the faithfulness of the Thessalonians in the face of persecution, Paul wrote to encourage the Believers to grow in godliness. Paul knew that the people had been exposed to false teachings from those in opposition to the way of Jesus Christ and the grace of God. Each chapter ends with Paul referencing the second coming of Christ.
The main theme of the letter is “standing firm in the faith”
Secondary themes are “hope of the resurrection” and “daily living”.
